Data sourcing
Official data, not scraped
Fund data in Nuvano comes from New Zealand's official Disclose Register, maintained by the government as the authoritative source for managed fund information.
This matters because scraped data goes stale. Provider websites change layouts. PDFs get updated without notice. Spreadsheets drift out of date the moment they are downloaded. Official register data is structured, versioned, and updated by the providers themselves as part of their regulatory obligations.
Nuvano synchronises fund data regularly, so the information your recommendations are built on reflects the latest registered details: fees, fund types, risk indicators, and fund documents.
